Also known as The Palace of the Lost City, this sumptuous five-star Hotel is inspired by a mythical African tribe, and its reputation as a destination of choice for those of discerning tastes is well-earned. The Palace Hotel is founded on the site of an extinct volcano amid a lush tropical wilderness with the impressive Pilanesberg mountains as its backdrop. All in all it was a good stay and will definitely go back.5* Luxury Accommodation in Sun City close to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve I'm still waiting for a pizza I had to walk to the bar to order.

Waiters never came around or just never bothered to take your order when walking past.

It could be because of COVID that the resort is keeping their staff compliment to a minimum but the service around the pool area was rather poor. At one point, walking into the room we were met with a lot of humid air. The temperature control dial was set to the lowest possible temperature but the room struggled to stay at a comfortable temperature. My one gripe was the strength of the air-conditioning in the rooms. You get the incredible view from your balcony. A pool facing room, apart from the suites, are one of the best value for money rooms.

Things are a little more chilled when you're eating or around the pool. We had to keep masks on in the reception areas and walking around the resort. The resort has done well to make guests feel at ease about all the COVID regulations and measures. Returning to the Palace this time was such a pleasure.
